Personality
Profile: |
Always willing
to make friends. Very clever however struggles to concentrate on
work for long periods of time, especially theoretical work. Easy
going, rarely starts a social fight due to the fact he often conveys
aggression through his martial arts practice and fights in star
ship battles.

Went
to private school in England as child, received excellent exam
results. Went to Bath University doing physics, left university
after master's degree through and continued course at Starfleet
academy.

Background: |
Studied quantum
mechanics in spare time while at university, finished with long-term
girlfriend (Claire Oster) 6 months ago after a 2-year relationship.
Enjoys occasional gambling, trying new things, acting generally
adventurous, at the age of 5 his father died and from then on he
has always hated the Borg and studied their weak spots in his spare
time, swears revenge, enjoys keep fit and regularly found in gym
or practising Kung-Fu.
He lived in
England as a child and found himself fascinated with both the stars
and physics. At the age of 14 he began to read quantum physics books
and by 16 was onto advanced theorems such made by the likes of Einstein,
Hawking, Newton, Planck, Maxwell and Dirac. He then learnt of the
creatures he swore to kill despite his mother's advice. He got all
the data he could on the Borg vessels and although at first the
data seemed absolute jargon, he soon managed to learn how the ship
functioned. With a new aspiration for ship design he looked at the
Federation ships and was fascinated by them. He went to university
studying advanced physics leaving his options open. However, after
this he made he mind up and applied to Starfleet Academy who welcomed
such a physicist of his calibre.
Onboard the
Fox he served as an assistant engineer in the junior staff where
when he left joined the Exupery as an ensign. Onboard Exupery, he
made many friends, including a best friend, Will Carls. He learnt
a lot in a short time about life and war. During his second mission
aboard, the ship engaged a Dominion outpost and a small raider fleet.
The ship was abandoned after heavy damage and was saved by the USS
Enterprise. The war scenes he saw out there hit David hard and it
seeded the beginning of an interest in the history of war. He made
friends with most of the crew and found he enjoyed serving aboard
and was then promoted to Lt. Jg. David found it very painful to
lose his friends as they moved on to different positions. Will moved
to Earth and Zaphirah left the ship as well. David progressed on
and started to take on new responsibilities as the Acting First
Officer aboard. After gaining more trust with Sergei Geiloj, a massive
unexpected turn came when David disagreed with Sergei's decision.
As a result, a mutiny enrolled where Sergei wanted to help a people
in trouble during a war, but David insisted on following the Prime
Directive. Sergei was killed on the surface in the war and David
was assigned the position of commanding officer and promoted to
Lt. Commander.
The next mission
saw David face his greatest nemesis he would ever to face - the
Borg. David knew one day he would face them but he never realised
how soon - he felt this was his destiny. Whilst most of the crew
cowered, David rose to the challenge and led the ship through a
vicious battle where many died and many are still remembered today.
David was promoted to Captain for his actions despite the fact Exupery
was decommissioned due to excessive damage to the ship after this
mission. The next mission saw David as Captain for the first time.
His mission was to observe a supernova in his new Intrepid class
vessel but Orion pirates boarded the ship murdering many crew until
the senior staff finally repelled the invasion and escaped back
home.
Despite the
forthcoming missions David faced, he found it much more enjoyable
now because of less fighting and more scientific explorations.
