Personality
Profile: |
Commodore Xavian
is a formal woman, and has been called "stuffy". Somehow
during her Command position, Xavian experienced a transcendence
taking her out of her counselor role and into a political one. Liana
Xavian is every bit a pacifist. She believes war is morally apprehensible
and stands against it. She is not afraid to follow Fleet orders
as was evident in the Dominion War. Commodore Xavian has expressed
her lack of camaraderie with marines and to a lesser extent security.

Background: |
Liana Xavian
was born to two very affluent families. Her father is an Betazoid
Ambassador to the Romulan Empire to the United Federation of Planets,
Trinad. While on his first mission to Romulus Xavian met Kiron Valina,
an aide and fell in love. They settled in Xilanthrii, Betazed after
peace negotiations failed. The two had one daughter, who they named
Liana. Liana grew up in the aristocratic society of Starfleet.
Because Liana
was introduced to Starfleet at a young age, she knew that she would
someday work for them. Her father had hoped she would become an
Ambassador or Diplomat, it shocked him slightly that she became
a psychiatrist. While at the Academy, her mother became very ill
and died mysteriously. Her father, overcome with grief left Betazed
and settled on Vulcan. He resides there, living a life of solitude.
Dr. Xavian has
specialized in the psyche of Humans and like, Vulcans, Romulans,
Klingons, Cardassians, Borg, and Bajorans. She has done extensive
research on abnormal psychology and has published many articles.
She has also pursued extra courses at the Academy in diplomacy.
She is intrigued with the Prime Directive and even assesses what
some Captains have done in the past with the Prime Directive and
their individual interpretations.
She rapidly
moved up to Gamma Fleet High Command as Second Officer. After serving
as Second Officer for 2 years with Fleet Admiral Richard Pellew,
Commodore Xavian stepped down to accept an honourary fleet advisor
role and serve as the Commanding Officer to the USS Benedict, the
first Nova class starship in the fleet. As a gift for their difference,
Pellew gave one last fleet order, assigning a marine as the Benedicts
first officer.
